In order for buildings to be constructed, architects have to design them.
These innovative minds prepare scale drawings and architectural designs while making sure their visions adhere to environmental, safety, and other regulations. The architect also notes information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
The Architectural Technology program at ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ teaches students basic architectural information. The program often offers courses that includes: Introduction to Architectural Technology, Building Codes, and Light Construction Technology.
Students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in Architecture should complete an Associate in Arts (AA) degree for transfer into the Architecture BA degree program at UNC-Charlotte.
