Taking care of patients takes a team of professionals.
Licensed practical nurses care for patients in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, private homes, and group homes and may work under the supervision of a registered nurse. Their responsibilities often include administering prescribed medications; observing, charting, and reporting changes in patients' conditions; and supervising nurses' aides or assistants.
The Practical Nursing curriculum at ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ teaches students the knowledge and skills needed to integrate safety and quality into their work, so they can properly care for the holistic individual. Coursework covers domains of healthcare, nursing practice, and the holistic individual. The program is approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
