In celebration of ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõnical Community College’s 60th anniversary, the College is publishing 60 for 60 – a storytelling campaign that highlights the people, places, and events that have progressed and shaped the College’s six decades of impact. In November 1997, Main Campus grew by one more building.
The ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ/GlaxoWellcome Technology Center opened its doors to serve students in healthcare programs. That same year, the ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ Foundation received its largest gift to date -- $500,000 from GlaxoSmithKline to outfit the building with equipment needed for programs.
Among the programs first housed in the building were Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Pharmacy Tech, Surgical Tech, and Information Technology.
